Elle Models Gama Jewellery In Forest Row East Sussex

I ususally photograph Gama Jewelery products against a while or pale background as product photography so it was nice to be able to put them on a model and take her out for a photoshoot.

We opted to stay local as Gama Jewellery is also based in Forest Row and as the area has so many beautiful spots it would be silly to go elsewhere. Elle did great as a model and we had a lot of fun on this Photoshoot and I have included a few below taken both for Gama Jewellery and for myself.

So…. packed life and livingness into as many boxes as possible, called up all my friends and invited them to see my new apartment but said it would be good to meet at the old one so I could show them the way…… sneakily filled up their cars with boxes – well it would be rude not to – and made them unpack at the other end…. Amazing how fast you can move with a bit of help!

After settling into the new place and setting up the studio Sophie was one of my first photoshoots for the week. I decided to try out the new smoke grey background from Creativity Backgrounds which is my new spending website!

I LOVE these images…. I was very happy with them and think that grey will be the new white for a while now! Hope you enjoy them as much as me.

Photographing weddings back to back throughout the year means that sometimes I don’t get time to go back and admire the images I have taken of the couples, families and guests who alowed me to be part of their day. From Alexandra House, Ashdown Park Hotel to Buxted Park and Yew Lodge there have been some beautiful venues and some beautiful photography.

In the last week I have moved house and my stress levels have reached new peeks so in order to chill out I decided to revisit some of the recents weddings I have done and play with some different editing techniques and I have been very happy with the results so wanted to share them here.

Interior and Commercial Photoshoots, London, West Sussex and Surrey.

These were three very different photoshoots but the idea was the same. Windmill Kitchens had just completed fitting a Kitchen into a beautiful house in London and they contacted me to come and take some photographs so that local graphics designer Louise at Colour Suite could use them in their new brochure. The photoshoot covered every angle and detail of the Kitchen and the final brochure looks very smart and professional.

The next Photoshoot was for The Richards Centre. The brief for this was to get some new photos of the treatment rooms that were newly decorated, a few of the staff and then anything else that I thought might be interesting from my perspective. The staff were lovely and it turned out to be a very fun day which included taking photos of bones and skeletons although possibly more for my amusement.

Superior Decorating had the mammoth task of stripping back black wooded beams to their natural colour which were all over the inside of a beautiful house in Surrey. An extension was then added and the whole house was decorated by the company. The family had actually moved in already by the time I got to the house to do the photoshoot and their son was making chocolate brownies which smelled amazing! We managed to move around the house taking the photos from various angles to show off the best features of the house as well as concentrating on showing the work that had gone into making it look so beautiful.

Cake Smash Photography – Zac turns one.

As there are a number of photographers in the local area I wanted to try something a little different to offer a fun and unique child’s portrait session for East Grinstead and the surrounding areas.

Welcome cake smash…. Zac is my first “smasher” so to speak and did a wonderful job demolishing a chocolate cake. The cake can be made in any style and from any ingredients the only requirement it that it is not to solid and can easily be smashed by little hands!

I am looking forward to my next Cake Smashing and also am continuing to look for fun ideas so please don’t hesitate to contact me if you would like to put an idea forward to try….

Tanja and Chris’ wedding at the Ashdown Park Hotel!

Having December the 15th as your date to get married is taking quite a risk with the weather and the timings of the day in England.

Tanja and Chris over came this by spredding their wedding accross 2 days. The had a civil cermony on the first day with immediate family followed by a reception and dinner at the Ashdown Park Hotel. They then spent the night in the hotel in one of the suites and I met them again the next day just after lunch.

With no great rush to be anywhere else for a while we were free to wonder around the grounds and inside the hotel and take lots of fantastic pictures and the weather was incredible. The blue skyes you see are completely unedited. They then went onto have a blessing that evening with a large group of friends followed by another reception that was more of a party.

My favourite photo of the day was the Bride and Groom on a Scooter at the end of the night pretending to make a quick getaway!

Queensbury Boxing League’s latest show The Reckoning – The Fights!

The Reckoning was the latest Queensbury Boxing League Show held at Epsom Downs Racecourse. This show was extra Special as it was filmed by a production company and it will be aired on Sky Sports Channel 433 on Saturday the 8th of October 2011 ( see other posts on Blog!). The show was amazing as always and just goes from strength to strength. Below are just a handful of images I captured from the 13 fights on the night.

Bev and David get married at Yew Lodge in East Grinstead West Sussex

The pressure was on with this wedding, not only had I done 2 of Bev’s friends weddings in the previous years I also had the challenge of making sure that I showed the beauty of all the work that had gone into the wedding as her mother and aunty are florists and photographing all of the flowers and table decorations were high on the photography list as well as obviously capturing the beauty of the day. Bev hands down wins most excited bride, from the moment we arrived at the house all the way to the first dance she was radiantly beaming non stop! The venue was Yew Lodge which is a lovely venue just on the outskirts of East Grinstead with a massive Yew tree in the garden hence the name. I had Sarah with me on the day and we worked together to capture every part of this wedding and the best way to sum it up is to let you read what Bev had to say about it :

I had seen Sam and Sarah’s work from a friend’s wedding album 2 years before I got engaged, and from that moment I had my heart set on them doing my wedding photos! When I met Sam and Sarah, they put me completely at ease in terms of their professionalism and approachability. In the build up to the wedding Sam stayed in contact regularly and was very happy to accept any ideas that I thought of along the way. Shortly before the wedding itself I was sent a suggestion list for photos which I was able to adapt to suit our circumstances which I found so useful and really helped to get an understanding of the timings for the day. On the day itself, it was like having two friends with us. Sam and Sarah just slotted into everything that was going on, even with the chaos of getting everyone ready they were calm, focused and got some great shots – both relaxed and posed. I’d made special requests to get the venue and decorations photographed, and they did an amazing job with this too. And the photos of the ceremony, guests, and reception are just all so perfect! Sam and Sarah clearly enjoy the job they do, and this reflected in their approach to the day. So many of our guests complimented us on how amazing they were in terms of organising everyone (not easy with our friends and family!!) but also how friendly and excited they were to be there as well! Our wedding photos are a brilliant reminder of our perfect day, and that’s because Sam and Sarah are the most perfect photographers! Thank you for capturing our memories of our special day, we will treasure them forever.

I am thrilled to have been part of making this a special day for Bev and David and was truly touched by the above message.

Kat and Adam’s Wedding at The Old Kent Barn

The Old Kent Barn was the setting for wedding of Kat and Adam. The day started with them both getting ready at seperate ends of the venue which used the same staircase, so it did become a little commical on timings of bridesmaids and groomsmen dodging each other as they ran up and down the stairs throughout the morning. Luckily the Bride was nicely tucked away so there was no near collisions of the Bride and Groom! The Service itself was in the garden with the guests seated outside creating an isle for the Bride to walk down. After the Service the photos were taken in the grounds and the guests enjoyed pims and champaign. The grounds of Old Kent Barn are beautifully set up for wedding photography and have many cute spots to take photos which we took advantage of. We also took a few photos that Kat had on my request specifically found on the internet and had said they were photos she had really liked and wanted to reproduce. The evenings meal and reception took place in the Barn, the speeches where hilarious and Adam did well to not be too nervous. With the cutting of the cake that followed the black and white theme and the first dance successfully completed the day for me was over. Big hugs and congratulations passed onto the Bride and Groom and it was time for us to travel back. Another thoroughly enjoyable wedding!

Queensbury Boxing League’s Show The Reckoning is Filmed for Sky Sports…. behind the scene interviews!

The Queensbury Boxing League show was filmed for Sky Sports and is due to be aired on Saturday the 8th of October on Channel 433 at 8pm. I am in this video clip 3 times but you’ll miss it if you blink…. apparently I am in the later footage quite a lot and all of the fighters profiles shown on the program feature my photos! Below are some of the boxers being interviewed before the fight at the Epsom Downs Racecourse.
