Bev and David get married at Yew Lodge in East Grinstead West Sussex

The pressure was on with this wedding, not only had I done 2 of Bev’s friends weddings in the previous years I also had the challenge of making sure that I showed the beauty of all the work that had gone into the wedding as her mother and aunty are florists and photographing all of the flowers and table decorations were high on the photography list as well as obviously capturing the beauty of the day. Bev hands down wins most excited bride, from the moment we arrived at the house all the way to the first dance she was radiantly beaming non stop! The venue was Yew Lodge which is a lovely venue just on the outskirts of East Grinstead with a massive Yew tree in the garden hence the name. I had Sarah with me on the day and we worked together to capture every part of this wedding and the best way to sum it up is to let you read what Bev had to say about it :

I had seen Sam and Sarah’s work from a friend’s wedding album 2 years before I got engaged, and from that moment I had my heart set on them doing my wedding photos! When I met Sam and Sarah, they put me completely at ease in terms of their professionalism and approachability. In the build up to the wedding Sam stayed in contact regularly and was very happy to accept any ideas that I thought of along the way.  Shortly before the wedding itself I was sent a suggestion list for photos which I was able to adapt to suit our circumstances which I found so useful and really helped to get an understanding of the timings for the day. On the day itself, it was like having two friends with us.  Sam and Sarah just slotted into everything that was going on, even with the chaos of getting everyone ready they were calm, focused and got some great shots – both relaxed and posed. I’d made special requests to get the venue and decorations photographed, and they did an amazing job with this too.  And the photos of the ceremony, guests, and reception are just all so perfect! Sam and Sarah clearly enjoy the job they do, and this reflected in their approach to the day.  So many of our guests complimented us on how amazing they were in terms of organising everyone (not easy with our friends and family!!) but also how friendly and excited they were to be there as well! Our wedding photos are a brilliant reminder of our perfect day, and that’s because Sam and Sarah are the most perfect photographers!  Thank you for capturing our memories of our special day, we will treasure them forever.
